Weekly hours

Any format works: 9, 9am, 09:00, 5:30pm, 17:30 - we normalize it. "Split" adds a second range for a midday break.

    1 · LocalBusiness JSON-LD (paste before </body>)

2 · Human-readable hours (for your contact page)

Note: schema opens/closes times are read in the business’s own local timezone - the timezone picker feeds the human-readable snippet, and Google infers the zone from your address.

    Hours change. Schema should follow.

On Yetty your business details are fields - change the hours once and the page, the schema and every mention update together.

    Why bother

    "Are they open?" is asked
    to machines, not to you

    LocalBusiness schema

A machine-readable card for your business - name, address, phone, hours - that search engines trust more than scraped text.

    openingHoursSpecification

Days grouped with opens and closes times in 24-hour format - one entry can cover Monday through Friday.

    Holiday overrides

specialOpeningHoursSpecification overrides the weekly grid for a single date - Christmas closed, New Year short day.

    The AI answer

When someone asks an assistant "is the bakery on Main St open?", structured hours are the source it can actually quote.

    Split days welcome

Siesta closures and lunch breaks are two ranges on one day - fully supported by the spec, and by this tool.

    Consistency wins

Google cross-checks your site against your Business Profile - matching hours in both places builds trust in each.

    Quick answers

    Opening hours questions everyone asks

How do I add opening hours to Google search results?

Two places, and it is worth doing both. First, your Google Business Profile - that is what feeds the hours panel in Maps and the knowledge card. Second, LocalBusiness schema on your website (what this tool generates) - it lets Google cross-check your site against the profile, and it is what AI assistants read when someone asks "is X open right now?".

    What is openingHoursSpecification?

The schema.org property that describes when a business is open, machine-readably: each entry names the days of the week plus an opens and closes time in 24-hour format. A shop open Monday to Friday 9 to 5 needs just one entry listing all five days. Times are read in the business's own local timezone.

How do I mark holiday hours in schema?

With specialOpeningHoursSpecification - one entry per date, carrying validFrom and validThrough set to that date plus either special opens/closes times or 00:00 to 00:00 to say "closed". It overrides the weekly hours for that day only, which is exactly how search engines expect holidays to be expressed.
