A to Z
The words you’ll meet
- CDN
- A content delivery network - copies of your site kept around the world so it loads fast for everyone, wherever they are. Included with Yetty.
- CMS
- A content management system: the friendly editor that lets you change words and images without touching code. Yetty turns your built site into one you can edit safely.
- DNS
- The internet’s address book. When you connect your custom domain, you add a couple of DNS records at your registrar that point the domain at your Yetty site. Yetty shows you exactly what to paste.
- Domain
- The address people type to reach your site, like yourbusiness.com. You buy it once a year from a registrar; Yetty connects it to your site for free and adds the security certificate.
- Hosting
- Where your website actually lives so it’s online 24/7. Yetty hosts your site on fast, global infrastructure so you never rent or manage a server.
- Lead
- Someone who fills in a form on your site - an enquiry, booking or message. Yetty captures every one, filters spam, and emails it to you (and can send it to your other tools).
- MCP
- Model Context Protocol - the open standard that lets an AI assistant use tools. Connect Yetty over MCP and your AI can publish, edit and manage your site in plain language.
- Open Graph
- The little preview card (image, title, description) that shows when your link is shared on social media or chat. Yetty generates these so your links look good.
- Rollback
- Undo for your whole website. Yetty saves each change as a version, so you can restore any earlier state in one click if something looks wrong.
- SEO
- Search engine optimisation - helping Google understand and rank your site. Yetty handles the technical parts (titles, descriptions, sitemaps, structured data) for you.
- SSL / HTTPS
- The padlock in the browser. It encrypts traffic between your visitor and your site. Every Yetty site gets it automatically, free - no setup.
- SSL certificate
- The digital document that proves your site is who it says and enables HTTPS. Yetty issues and renews it automatically once your domain verifies.
- Static site
- A website made of plain files (HTML, CSS, images) rather than a live database app. It’s fast, secure and cheap to host - and exactly what most AI tools produce. Yetty specialises in these.
- Structured data
- Extra machine-readable labels (also called schema/JSON-LD) that tell search engines what a page is - a business, an article, an FAQ. It helps you show up richer in search.
- Subdomain
- A prefix on a domain, like blog.yourbusiness.com. Your free Yetty address (yourname.yetty.site) is a subdomain you can use before connecting your custom domain.
- Webhook
- An automatic message one app sends another when something happens. Yetty fires a signed webhook for each new lead, so tools like Zapier or your CRM can react instantly.
Skip the jargon entirely
With Yetty you can just say what you want in plain language - your AI does the technical part.
